    [Closed] Recruitment for Attendants at the Tokushima Booth in the Kansai Pavilion

    Only six months to go until Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai!

    With six months to go until Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Tokushima Prefecture had opened recruitment for attendants at its booth in the Kansai Pavilion. Attendants would be responsible for guiding visitors, explaining exhibits, and supporting Tokushima’s hospitality throughout the Expo period. The role was ideal for those passionate about sharing the charm of Tokushima, including its nature, food, Awa Odori dance, and traditional culture.

    Job Overview:

    Location: Tokushima Booth, Kansai Pavilion, Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai (Yumeshima, Osaka)

    Duties: Visitor guidance, exhibit explanations, directing guests, booth upkeep

    Period: April 1, 2025 – October 13, 2025 (includes approx. 7 days of on-site training and 5 days of prior training)

    Hours: Early shift 8:30–16:45 / Late shift 13:00–21:15 (7 hr 15 min shift + 1 hr break, 2 days off per week)

    Pay: ¥1,850 per hour + transportation allowance (up to ¥25,000/month) + other benefits

    Openings: Around 30 positions (closed once filled)

    Requirements:
    ・Must be at least 18 years old as of April 12, 2025
    ・Able to attend all training days and work the full 184-day Expo period
    ・Must be able to commute using public transport
    Preferred:
    ・Experience in customer service
    ・Multilingual abilities (English, Chinese, Korean)
    ・Strong interest in promoting Tokushima’s attractions

    Expo Mascot “Myaku-Myaku” Visits the Passionate Homeland of Tokushima During Awa Odori!

    To boost momentum toward Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Tokushima Prefecture has been actively participating in events inside and outside the prefecture to promote both the Expo and local culture.
    This summer, official Expo mascot “Myaku-Myaku” and Tokushima’s own “Sudachi-kun” made appearances across various festivals and events throughout Tokushima.

    Highlights of Expo Promotion Events:

    July 20 – Anan Summer Festival

    Myaku-Myaku appeared alongside Anan City's mascot “Ananan.”
    Guests also enjoyed making Expo-themed pin badges.

    August 11 – Awa Odori Opening Ceremony

    Commemorative photos taken with visitors

    August 12 – 2024 Awa Odori

    Participated in the opening event of the Minamiuchimachi Stage presented by Awa Bank, alongside the Expo Association's Deputy Secretary General

    August 13 – Diamond Princess Welcome Event

    Photo session with cruise passengers

    August 13–15 – Awa Odori Hall Greeting

    Commemorative photos taken with visitors

    August 16 – Kamojima Awa Odori

    Danced with mascots “Yoppy” and “Pippy” from Yoshinogawa City

    Expo Goods Sales:

    Official licensed Expo 2025 merchandise was sold for a limited time at “Arudeyo Tokushima,” on the first floor of the Awa Odori Kaikan.
